Easy and delicious Jumbo Cinnamon Roll with lots of orange peel and nuts

Let’s make a delicious cinnamon roll today. It’s also a very large jumbo-sized cinnamon roll. Cinnamon spice is one of my favorite spices besides cardamom spice, and I often use it as a baking ingredient. It is true that cinnamon flavor is popular with many people. So, it is commonly used as an ingredient in numerous types of coffee with a sweet, aromatic cinnamon flavor and in countless oven-baking items. On the other hand, cardamom spice, which is relatively expensive, has a strong herbal, mint, and aromatic scent rather than a sweet scent, so people may like it or dislike it.

In fact, the cinnamon rolls sold in bakeries and supermarkets are just a combination of cinnamon powder and a ton of sugar and nothing more. Instead, I make a jumbo-sized cinnamon roll very easily with plenty of my favorite nut ingredients.

I decide to add a hint of citrus and nutty flavors, so I prepare a moderately sweet filling with fresh orange peels and a variety of nuts and seeds I have at home.

I clean and chop one medium-sized orange peel. Then, put it in a pot along with 50 grams of brown palm sugar(gula melaka) and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.

After that, add about 100 grams of sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, whole peanuts, and walnut pieces at once and simmer further, mixing gently with a spatula for 5 minutes to prevent the bottom of the pot from sticking. That way, the sweet palm sugar and cinnamon powder evenly coat all the nut surfaces with a glossy finish. The finely chopped orange slices are also glued together with the nuts, so the colors of the mixed ones are lustful and really deliciously pretty.

The smell of cinnamon, which already fills my kitchen, fuels my appetite and makes me completely hungry. I make a simple and easy cinnamon roll using the regular white bread I have at home, so it’s good to be able to skip the hard work of kneading the dough separately. You just need to prepare four commercially available breads that you have at home. Put the four slices of bread on the kitchen shelf and press it down with a rolling pin. You can flatten it by pushing it so that the thickness of the bread is about 0.5 centimeters high.

Then, evenly spread the sweet cinnamon-scented nut mixture that has been prepared and cooled in a pan on the bread. Isn’t this sandwich filling that is already delicious enough to eat as it is? I just eat away all the nuts sticking to the bottom of the pot instead. Then, cut the bread with a sharp bread knife and cut it in half. A total of 8 pieces will then come out in the shape of a rectangle. Slightly overlap the ends of the two rectangles on top and bottom, and roll the bread with your hands as if you were rolling up Gimbap. If the nut falls out a little between both sides when rolling, just ignore it and roll it up with gentle force. It is then rolled up into two long rectangles. Continue doing this for a total of four times in a row.

Then, a huge jumbo-sized cinnamon roll that fills both palms is born. The round oven tray I have is too big for me, so I put the jumbo cinnamon rolls in the right sized bread tin. Then again sprinkle a spoonful of cinnamon powder on top and spread it evenly over the surface with a spoon to get more cinnamon flavor. Next, to give the roll a moist and soft texture, take out fresh milk from the refrigerator and pour half a cup of milk evenly over the jumbo roll with a spoon. So, make sure the bread is moist and full of moisture without getting milky wet.

Put it in a preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes at about 180 degrees. The whole house is filled with the sweet and lovely scent of cinnamon. After 20 minutes, take it out of the oven and let it cool. Even though typical cinnamon rolls are usually glazed with icing sugar, I love to use honey instead. Drizzle honey evenly on the cooled roll to give it shine and glossy, and my simple and delicious nut-filled Jumbo cinnamon Roll is completed for tasting.

Thanks to the orange peel in the nut mixture filling I made, the roll is really delicious and the citrus flavor stimulates the appetite even more. This delicious and nutritious snack is born in less than 40 minutes in total. Anyone, like me, can easily make cinnamon rolls at home by mixing their favorite nuts and dried fruits.

I’m already thinking of making jumbo cinnamon rolls again using some other ingredients. It would be good to mix raisins, figs, cranberries as a dried fruit, and chocolate chunks or chips in the ingredients.
